The Financial Consultant position is part of the Consulting team. This professional will use their analytical skills to spot weaknesses in client systems or processes and offer recommendations on how to fix those vulnerabilities. The primary focus of this position is on administrative efficiency, legal compliance, workflow, financial processes, and electronic medical records (EMR) support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and/or remote services to clients
- Complete objectives outlined within the scope of the consulting project engagement
- Provide technical assistance via individual or group training as appropriate
- Communicate project status and/or results will be provided in writing consistent with Richter's formats and content
- Compare and evaluate various possibilities and make recommendations for action that consider business implications
- Receive documentation from clients and process information accurately according to payer billing requirements
- Report the status of the project to the client and manager as determined by project engagement
- Maintain thorough documentation of client communications on all aspects of a project

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in a business subject (Business Administration or Information Systems is preferred, but not essential)
- Post-acute financial management experience: Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Hospice
- 1-year consulting experience
- Experience in project management
- Thorough knowledge of the field of skilled nursing and willingness to keep abreast of advancements

These roles are part of the Revenue Cycle team. He/she facilitates the Richter policies and procedures to affect the accurate and timely billing and collection process of client revenue.
Job Requirements:
- Completing billing and collection for all third-party payer types, with experience in Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial billing. Tasks include generating and scrubbing claims, documenting billing and collection activity within client system, performing patient account analysis, problem-solving, and completing denials management activities
- Performing Accounts Receivable management and following-up on all outstanding accounts by prioritizing per Richter methodology
- Prioritizing and managing time to accomplish project goals and expectations
- Identifying and escalating issues, at-risk accounts, database errors, communication, and payers to direct supervisor
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of claims processing experience, preferably with Skilled Nursing or Long Term Care billing

The Accounting Specialist is a key member of the finance team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and
timeliness of the client organization’s financial records. This role primarily focuses on the accounts payable (AP)
process, general bookkeeping, supporting day-to-day operations by managing transactions, maintaining precise
financial documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
The Accounting Specialist works closely with, clients, staff accountants, department managers, and client vendors, ensuring that all financial transactions adhere to established policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management:
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Verify invoice details, purchase orders, and delivery receipts for accuracy and completeness.
- Review coding or code invoices to the appropriate accounts and in the accounting or procurement system.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare and process electronic and manual payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.

Bookkeeping:

- Assist with period-end closing processes and prepare supporting schedules for financial statements.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives as requested.

Education & Experience:

Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and reconciliation of daily census
- Evaluates client demographics and payer set up reviews
- Communicates daily with clients to ensure retrieval of census reporting
- Reviews appropriate system dashboard and/or reports daily to reconcile census, past period adjustments, resident rates, and payer trees for proper set up (coinsurance, patient liability, etc.)
- Identifies, verifies, and resolves Insurance and authorizations required for timely billing within the appropriate systems
- Escalates census, demographics, and payer issues with management and client
- Research payer source, set up and contract information for client assignments as needed
- Enters ancillaries via data entry/import of Pharmacy, Lab, XRay, Oxygen and Medical Supplies
- Reconcile ancillary invoices to census, addressing discrepancies and ensuring appropriate charge capture
- Runs month end reporting for all revenue captured prior to month end close
- Manage Month End Task Tracker and Ancillary Tracker per facility on month end checklist
